I welcome you in the official website of "Romiosini", the Non-Governmental Organization of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
His Beatitude the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III advised me on the idea of the creation of the N.G.O. "Romiosini". My deep respect and admiration for His Beatitude in conjuction with the great importance attributed to the Holy Land not only for the history of Orthodoxy and the world-wide Christendom, but also for the humanity as a whole, urged me to undertake the full administration and try to contribute to the success of this multi-facetted endeavour.
Our primary aim is for "Romiosini" to become a valuable and worthy contributor to the God-pleasing shepherding, philanthropic and social work of the Patriarchate. This N.G.O.'s primary concern is the strengthening of the world-wide Greek-Orthodox spiritual civilization and its universal cultural wealth starting with the very long through the centuries tradition of the All Holy Pilgrimages and the Jerusalemite monuments of the Holy Land. We firmly believe that the foundation of the Organization "Romiosini" will signal the spreading of Orthodoxy and the promotion of Civilization and Learning not only on national, but also, international level.
The N.G.O. "Romiosini" with full responsibility and awareness of the seriousness of the undertaking, accompanied by full transparency in all activities, will try to contribute to the maximum for the success of the God-pleasing and multi-facetted work of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem. Unfortunately today, at a time of inconsiderate worldliness, the need of stressing the importance of the Orthodox tradition as a spiritual bearer and beacon appears as imperative as ever. I do hope and pray the Lifebearer and All Holy Sepulchre will bestow its generous blessings upon our new endeavour.
